Six Nations
The Six Nations 2025 kicked off on Friday 31st of January and will run until Saturday the 25th of March. The first game of the tournament saw France face Wales in France. Ireland is hosting two of the matches in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, located less than a 20-minute stroll from The Leinster. Ireland met England in their first game on Saturday 1st of February and then on Saturday 8th of March, Ireland will play France in their second match in the Aviva.

The International Literature Festival
The International Literature Festival will be held in the beautiful Merrion Square Park between Friday 16th and Sunday 25th of May. The festival will be running for its 28th year this coming spring and is a celebration of Irish and international creatives from all around the globe. Last year the event boasted over 230 events held over the 10 days and was their biggest festival to date.
The festivities highlight the work of a number of authors ranging across several genres and literary forms. The festival is suited to all ages and has something for everyone. Some of the events held include authors breaking down their creative processes, cross-cultural discussions and insightful debates. Live performances will be held with interactive workshops for everyone to get involved in. The festival wishes to showcase all literary art forms and also holds space for the spoken and visual to help to bring the written word to life.
Merrion Square Park, situated just moments from The Leinster, is the perfect place to hold such an event. Not only is the park home to the famous commemorative statue of Oscar Wilde but acted as a meeting place for writers when Lady Wilde, Oscar Wilde’s mother held salons for talented writers to meet and share ideas. Writes such as Brahm Stoker, creator of Dracula attended such events. Merrion Square Park continues to act as a creative space and welcomes everyone to be a part of!

The Bloomsday Festival will take place from Wednesday 11th – Monday 16th of June 2025 in The James Joyce Centre. The itinerary for the festival has already been published and features a huge range of events taking place over the course of the six days. Activities include art exhibitions, concerts, readings and re-enactments, tours of historical sites of literature, writing competitions and workshops. There is something for every lover of the arts not just the written form.
The Bloomsday festival brings to life the written form through art, film, food, music, speech and much more. It is also a fun opportunity to go back in time and play a Joycean character whilst dressing in Edwardian fashion!

Aer Lingus College Football at The Aviva
The Aer Lingus College Football game on the 23rd of August is not to be missed. Be sure to take advantage of such a unique sporting experience and make a full day out of it! The Kansas K-State Wildcats will be facing the Iowa State Cyclones in the Aviva this Summer in their opening game of the 2025 American Football Collegian season. This promises to be an extremely exciting match and the first time either team plays in Europe.
Although it’s not quite tailgating, you can still partake in your own Irish version of the American match-day drinking rituals. Start the day off right with a pint or custom cocktail from The Collins Club ahead of a short stroll alongside the canal to the buzzing Aviva Stadium.
